Danielle has always been celebrated for her lavish sense of style. At the epicentre of the downtown club scene in Toronto in the 1980s, Danielle was THE girl on the scene. "I was famous for my wall of earrings" laughs Danielle today. "It was such a vibrant time in Toronto". Then, drawn to the bright lights and excitement of Miami in the 1990's, Danielle suddenly found her unique looks and design sensibility in demand by local boutiques. "Miami in its heyday was a crazy, creative place to be. From Madonna to Versace, everybody loved Miami..." remembers Danielle.

Encouraged by friends, she launched a line of Costume Jewellery which was carried by local Miami retailers, including edgy boutique "La Troya". While in Miami, Danielle developed her signature design sensibility, eventually seeing her creations worn by celebrities such as Sandra Bernhard, supermodel Niki Taylor and Disco Diva Lady Miss Kier of Deee-lite.

Returning to Toronto in 2000, Danielle was ready to take the leap to Gold, Platinum and Precious Gems. She enrolled in the Goldsmithing & Jewellery Design program at George Brown College, where on graduation, she was snapped up by Jennifer and Lisa Shigetomi of Matsu Design in Toronto. After serving her apprenticeship, she went on to become Senior Goldsmith for Matsu, creating there for the next 8 years.

In 2007, Danielle made the decision to go out on her own. She opened 'The Loncar Studio', located in downtown Toronto and she hasn't looked back, building a custom Jewellery design business for an exclusive clientele, including fashionable celebrities such as Erica Ehm and Mike Chalut and performers such as Brian West.

Today, Danielle is poised to launch the Loncar Studio Collection online (www.LoncarStudio.com) and is now concentrating on making her Jewellery more widely available through fashionable boutiques in Toronto and across Canada. She also maintains a Jewellery Production side to her business, producing in-house Jewellery for retailers such as Queen Street West's Greenshag Boutique. "It's an exciting season" says Danielle "It has everything I love about Jewellery. The look is bold and striking, which is what my work has always been about..."
